Fondation du Patrimoine

Obiettivi:

Established in 1996, the Fondation du Patrimoine is a public-interest foundation dedicated to preserving France's cultural and natural heritage. In 2009, it launched the Programme Patrimoine Naturel et Biodiversité, aimed at supporting projects that intertwine the conservation of natural environments with the preservation of cultural heritage.(anbdd.fr)

This program provides financial assistance to initiatives that:

  • Restore and eco-renovate built heritage using environmentally friendly materials and techniques.
  • Protect and enhance biodiversity in and around heritage sites.
  • Preserve natural landscapes and habitats of rare or threatened species (anbdd.fr).

In 2024, the program allocated €1.5 million to 31 projects across France, including the restoration of natural habitats along the Rhine's riverbanks and the renaturation of the village of Costa in Corsica. (fondation-patrimoine.org)

The Fondation emphasizes the convergence of actions for built and natural heritage to create a more sustainable living environment for future generations. Projects are selected based on their ecological impact, use of local materials, and potential for community engagement.
